Welcome to Salle Holyrood Fencing Club!
Salle Holyrood offers the best fencing coaching in the best
environment giving our fencers every opportunity to achieve their
potential and supporting them as they progress in the sport. From
complete novice to senior international, if you would like to join us
please get in touch or just drop in at the club.
Our aim is to provide our members and guests with training that is
tailored to their needs and which will help them to improve and enjoy
the sport at all levels.
We train 3 evenings a week (Monday, Wednesday and Thursday) at Holy
Rood High School in Edinburgh, run a Friday club at Broughton High
School every week, and provide individual lessons on Saturday - please
see the about page for
more information. We also run training camps during school holidays and
provide support to our fencers at competitions. Salle

Foil Easter Camp 4th-6th April 2016
Visit Edinburgh this Easter 4th-6th April for the Salle Holyrood Easter Camp run by Keith Cook former British Fencing Champion & Prof Andy Alderman.

British Under 10 Foil Championship 2014
Salle Holyrood put in an amazing performance at the Under 10 Foil championships down in Much Wenloack with all three of our young fencers making the top ten!Jaimie Cook claimed 2nd, Peter Caughey 3rd and Thomas Walton 10th. Huge well done to the boys!
British Youth Championship 2014
Salle Holyrood enjoyed a very successful trip to Sheffield this year! Angus Bradie claimed 6th in the U12 Boys Foil and Mhairi McLaughlin 7th in the U14 girls foil. Huge well done to everyone and a big thank you to Sean for making the 3 night trip to support the kids. More details here
Challenge Wratislavia 2014
Several of our club members were lucky enough to be part of the U15 Scotland Team that took part in Challenge Wratislavia in Wroclaw, Poland. It was an amazing life changing experience for some of our young members, a huge thank you goes to Scottish Fencing and everyone who made the trip possible

Ideal for complete beginners and those who have already completed our Level 1 4 week block. Participants will work in experience-appropriate groups.

Two Salle Holyrood Scottish Champions!
This years Scottish Youth Championships took place on the weekend of 21/22 June and our young fencers certainly did us proud! Comrie Saville-Ferguson is the new Scottish U17 Foil Champion and Angus Bradie the Scottish U12 Foil Champion (photo below with Sean who has also held the title!!)More fantastic results here
Edinburgh Sports Awards 2013
The club are delighted that Keith Cook won the Young Persons
Coach of the Year at the Edinburgh Sports Awards 2013. A very well
deserved pat on the back I’m sure you’ll agree.
The club was short listed in another three categories (Development
Coach of the Year (Gavin McMenemy), Elite Coach of the Year (Sean
Walton) and Club of the Year. Next Year!
