With so many of our fencers regularly taking part in competitions around the UK, starting this season, our coaches will provide support at the competitions that are most important to our members. There will be a small charge to members competing in these events to partly cover the costs of providing coach support.
We have equipment for beginners, which you can use on the night, or for a small rental fee, keep longer term whilst getting your own.
To join the club, you must also be a member of British Fencing – as they provide individual insurance cover to train and compete. We will need a record of your British Fencing registration and expiry/renewal date as part of your membership application to this club.

Under 8?
Metal fencing isn’t for under 8s. The blades are heavy, and the kit can be too uncomfortable. We would recommend looking at Fencing Fun classes to give you the best grounding in the skills of the sport. Fencing Fun use plastic fencing equipment which requires less protective clothing and is lighter, making it much quicker to learn with. Fencing Fun run plastic fencing classes at the same venue on a Tuesday evening, term time.
